Teaching Artist Profile
Aubree Windish is an Adjunct Professor of Music Education at West Chester University where she teaches arts integration in the elementary classroom, methods and piano courses, and supervises student teachers. Throughout her 15-year career in public education, Aubree specialized in general music courses including technology, world music, and piano and percussion instruction. Her choral groups were recognized regionally through various festivals and adjudications and she directed a number of musical theater productions. Aubree founded and currently directs an early childhood music program, Tot Rock, based in Chester County, PA which focuses on a family and community centered approach to learning music. Because of her work with Tot Rock, Aubree was featured in the “Women of West Chester” edition of the Fig magazine publication. In addition to education, Aubree helped to found Windish Music & Productions, based in West Chester, PA. Through this company she performed, directed, and liased show productions, music arrangements, and held administrative responsibilities with clients in the entertainment industry. Aubree also serves on the artistic board of Music Service Learning, a non-profit organization which helps to bridge collegiate students and music educators in the field. She received her B.S. and M.M. in Music Education at West Chester University.
